About Amy

Amy Fetherston is the founder of Project Free from E.D. After struggling with her own eating disorder for several years, Amy has become an activist in the eating disorder community. Frustrated by the lack of information available about eating disorder treatment facilities, Amy developed Project Free from E.D. to increase awareness about eating disorders treatment and hopes to help other young women find their first steps toward recovery.

Prior to founding Project Free from E.D., Amy graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Economics and spent several years in management & strategy consulting and fixed income trading.

In her free time Amy holds a docentship at the Whitney Museum of American Art, giving gallery talks on the permanent collection. Amy is passionate about traveling, loves nature, learning about new cultures, and spending time with her dog, an English Springer Spaniel named Julius.
